With
a long history of teaching many ages (from pre-K through graduate
students), satorimedia under the direction of Jeffrey Gray Miller has
used the diversity and flexibility of a performance technology background
for many successful and ongoing workshops, seminars, and seasonal curricula.
If we can do it, we can teach you how to as well--if you'd like a custom-tailored
training program in anything from juggling to digital video, contact

INTUITION
AND INTERFACE:Some
thoughts on Performance Technology and Media in General
satorimedia's
Rules of Performance Technology
EDUCATION links:
TRIAD
: One of the more unusual projects ever undertaken by satorimedia, this involved
three groups of children--in the U.S., with Jeffrey Gray Miller, in the UK,
with Sita Popat, and in Portugal with Stefan Jurgens--using the internet to
collaboratively create and perform dance pieces. Sponsored by ORACLE Systems,
Ultralab-UK, and the UW-Madison Dance Department, the project was a learning
experience for all. A documentary about the process is in production, along
with a CDROM detailing the use of the internet as a collaborative creative
medium for children.
Technology
and the Arts is a class jointly taught by Jeffrey Gray Miller
and longtime satorimedia associate, Jennifer Taylor. Students will learn fun
and exciting new methods of collaborating with others to create art. They
will explore Ephemeral Art, art that is created in the moment through natural
surroundings; Collage Art, group effort unified through artwork; and Sculptural
Art, exploring the world of 3-D, including visual and performance arts. Our
experiences and artwork will be documented through digital photography and
video.
Minor
Keys Music : In some ways this is what started satorimedia: in 1992,
Jeffrey Gray Miller began teaching a general music curriculum at Countryside
Montessori Preschool in Madison, WI. Now having branched out to other Montessori
Schools and including drama and dance in the curriculum, Minor Keys is still
going strong, with a both a CD and music video produced for children. On the
site are lyrics to the rather non-traditional songs sung by "Mr. Jeff",
including some original favorites like "The Booger Song."
