Improvisation 1"I have used a game that is called transformations- I used it as a warm up but it could be used to generate material.Standing in a circle, one person does a movement with sound and passes it to the next, they copy it and continue moving , transforming it into something else by the time they turn to face the person next to them- the process continues around the circle." The improvisation that resulted from these instructions had a very organic feel to it - developing and evolving constantly, but with no real form. Some of this movement might be selected to be used for the piece. If you like some of the movement and think it might be developed for the dance, please email me and describe the movement, or say at what point it occurs. Even a vague description together with the colours that the dancer is wearing will enable me to pick it out from the movie. |
