Rehearsal 4

Rehearsal 4 - 3rd March

In this rehearsal we planned to work more on material that developed relationships between pairs of dancers.  We are setting up a Web page where we will ask you to help us structure the movement that we have for the Mirror section from the movies that we have already.

Dance-Making Tasks:

Rolling Duet

(Sarah P and Sarah J)
Sarah P had an idea for a duet that began with rolling on the floor with heads together.  She wanted to experiment with using the camera to frame the movement. This dance phrase sprang from that starting point.  The movie is only of the second half of the dance as it was too long for the Web, but the first half begins with rolling towards the camera together.

Dorian Gray 1

 (Emma and Tara)
This duet was inspired by the quote from Dorian Gray on the Inspirations Page.  The movement came from the Three Ages dance phrase of Reheasal 3.  The dancers took the movements and made them larger, so that the whole body was used.  Then they developed relationships based on the quote.
This is the second half of the duet.
